“Morpheus” or Morfeusz is a crime drama built on a sharp reversal of fate, when a man from the world of law suddenly finds himself on the other side and begins to live by the rules that he himself once despised. The main character, Petr Leier, is a lawyer accustomed to arguments, procedures and the formal power of words, but circumstances push him into the criminal world, and he unexpectedly becomes the leader of a gang. The series focuses on how a person changes when power ceases to be abstract, but becomes direct control over fear, money and other people’s decisions. Peter is forced to learn toughness, but his legal thinking turns into a weapon, he doesn’t just threaten, he builds schemes, calculates risks, takes advantage of the weaknesses of the system and people. At the same time, “Morpheus” does not give simple answers, the hero does not turn into a caricatured villain, he remains a man who is trying to justify himself, preserve the remnants of morality and not drown in violence. The more it rises, the more traitors there are around, the more difficult it is to distinguish allies from those who are simply waiting for the moment to strike. This is a series about power and the cost of choice, where every decision makes the hero either the master of his own destiny or a prisoner of the role that he himself created.
